What metadata is removed?
Re-encoding removes all EXIF metadata — camera model, settings, timestamps, and most importantly GPS location coordinates.
Is my image uploaded?
No. The image is processed entirely in your browser; nothing is uploaded, which is exactly why it is safe for sensitive photos.
Does it change how the photo looks?
No visible change — only the hidden metadata is removed. JPGs are re-encoded at high quality.
